Single-stage thickened heavy-duty cast iron housing
WPWDX and WPWDO belong to WP single-stage worm gear reducer series. The housing is made of thickened HT250 cast iron with annular reinforcing ribs on the outer wall to strengthen anti-shock rigidity. It adopts a single set of worm and wheel transmission with reduction ratios ranging from 10 to 60, featuring a compact 90° right-angle outline, suitable for continuous medium-load operation of vertical equipment.
Differentiated downward output terminal design
WPWDX features a solid downward output shaft to connect lifting supports and roller conveyors via shaft drive; WPWDO integrates an integral circular bottom flange to lock mixing barrels, drums and other disc loads directly without extra connecting bases. Both models are equipped with standard IEC motor flanges at the input end, and internal worm wheels, bearings, oil seals are fully interchangeable.
Wear-resistant self-locking transmission pair
The worm is carburized and quenched 45# steel, matched with centrifugal cast tin bronze worm wheel for even meshing and minimal backlash. Designed for standard input speed 1500rpm, single-start worm provides built-in reverse self-locking to prevent load reverse sliding.

Single-stage transmission contains fewer parts with lower power loss and higher transmission efficiency than two-stage reducers. The thickened housing can withstand strong shock loads, delivering stable torque in small frame size, which greatly saves vertical installation space of equipment.
Two downward output types fit all vertical machinery scenarios
Solid-shaft WPWDX matches ordinary sunken vertical transmission equipment; flange WPWDO connects disc loads directly without customized base plates. Standard mounting holes are reserved on six sides of housing to support horizontal, side-mounted and inverted installation, cutting overall equipment structural design cost.
Interchangeable spare parts reduce comprehensive operation & maintenance cost
Split upper-lower housing enables convenient disassembly and overhaul. All internal transmission parts are shared by two models, worn components can be replaced separately without removing the whole reducer. Built-in self-locking omits external electromagnetic brakes for most light-load conditions to lower purchasing cost of matching components.

Q: Is it allowed to change the rotation direction of input shaft when ordering WPWDX / WPWDO?
A: The worm assembly rotation can be adjusted free of charge before factory delivery. No on-site modification is available after production. Notify the manufacturer of required rotation direction in advance when placing orders.
Q: Can WPWDX and WPWDO be used in dusty or humid workshop environments?
A: Standard models have basic dustproof and oil-sealed structure. For heavy dust or high humidity scenarios, we can upgrade double oil seals and dust-proof covers on request to prevent impurities from entering the gear chamber.
Q: Is there any limit to the installation angle of WPWDX and WPWDO?
A: They support horizontal, vertical and side-mounted installation, but users must adjust the lubricant volume according to different installation angles to avoid insufficient lubrication or oil leakage.
