Single-stage thickened HT250 cast iron housing
WPWDT is a single-stage worm gear reducer of WP series. The whole unit is integrally cast with thickened cast iron, equipped with dense cooling ribs and ring reinforcing ribs for strong impact and deformation resistance. It adopts single worm & wheel transmission with reduction ratios ranging from 10 to 60, standard 90° right-angle structure for various industrial machinery.
Exclusive layout: top input, lateral output
The suffix T stands for top flange input and horizontal side output shaft. The top flange directly matches standard IEC motors without extra transition brackets. The integrally cast foot base with standard mounting holes is reserved. Internal worm, worm wheel and bearings are fully interchangeable with other models of the same series.
Wear-resistant self-locking transmission pair
The worm is made of carburized quenched 45# steel, matched with centrifugal cast tin bronze worm wheel for tight tooth surface fit and small backlash, suitable for standard input speed of 1500rpm. The single-start worm comes with built-in reverse self-locking to prevent load reverse sliding.

Lower energy consumption with single-stage transmission
Only one set of meshing transmission parts brings far less power loss than two-stage reducers. The thickened cast iron housing delivers excellent shock load resistance and stable sufficient torque under the same frame size. Compact overall structure saves horizontal installation space of equipment.
Wide compatibility for vertical direct-connected motors
The upward top flange connects motors vertically, fitting all kinds of vertical drive machinery. The lateral output shaft links conveyor rollers and eccentric transmission mechanisms. Standard mounting holes are reserved on six sides of the housing to support horizontal and side-mounted installation, eliminating customized transition bases and cutting customers' equipment design cost.
Universal spare parts save maintenance cost
Split upper-lower housing enables easy disassembly and overhaul. All internal transmission parts of the same frame size are universal. Worn accessories can be replaced separately without removing the whole reducer. Built-in self-locking omits external electromagnetic brakes for regular light-load conditions to reduce matching purchasing cost.

Q: What motors can match the top flange of WPWDT?
A: The flange complies with standard IEC motor dimensions, which can be directly connected with three-phase asynchronous motors and servo motors of matching sizes. Non-standard flange sizes are available for customization.
Q: Can WPWDT run under full load 24 hours continuously?
A: Standard models are designed for intermittent duty cycle. 24-hour continuous full-load operation generates excessive heat and accelerates worm wheel abrasion. Select a larger frame size or equip an external cooling fan for non-stop production lines.
Q: Are internal transmission parts interchangeable between WPWDT and WPWDO?
A: Worm, worm wheel, bearings and oil seals of the same frame size are fully universal. Only the top flange end cover and lateral output end cover differ in structure and cannot be swapped.
