Universal split cast iron housing
WPWA and WPWS belong to WPW universal series. The cuboid housing reserves standard mounting holes on all sides without fixed base limits. Thickened HT250 cast iron with dense reinforcing ribs delivers high rigidity and anti-deformation performance. Extra base plates can be freely installed to match all kinds of machinery.
Differentiated input shaft layout
WPWA features downward input shaft while WPWS adopts upward input shaft. Both adopt 90° right-angle single-stage worm & worm wheel transmission with ratios from 10 to 60. Only the input position differs; output shaft can be mounted upward, downward or horizontally to fit various space layouts of equipment.
Wear-resistant worm gear pair
The worm is made of carburized quenched 45# steel, matched with tin bronze cast worm wheel. Concave-convex tooth surface ensures tight meshing with excellent wear and fatigue resistance. Designed for standard reference input speed 1500rpm, minimal backlash guarantees stable positioning precision.

All six sides of the universal housing support fixing. WPWA downward input fits vertical sunken equipment, WPWS upward input matches overhead assembly lines. Horizontal, side-mounted and inverted installation are all available without custom brackets, greatly cutting equipment design costs.
Low-noise stable operation with self-locking safety
Flexible meshing of bronze wheel minimizes vibration and running noise. Single-start worm provides reliable reverse self-locking to prevent load backspin after shutdown. Lifting and turnover machines can omit extra electromagnetic brakes to simplify structure and reduce purchasing costs.
Interchangeable standard parts for easy maintenance
Bearings, oil seals, worm and worm wheel are all national standard spare parts, fully interchangeable between WPWA and WPWS. Worn components can be disassembled and replaced separately without removing the whole gearbox, shortening downtime for overhaul.
