Two-stage worm and worm wheel structure
WPW adopts two sets of worm wheel transmission connected in series. The combined total reduction ratio ranges from 20 to 100 to achieve ultra-large reduction ratio. The machine still maintains a compact right-angle outline without occupying extra installation space.
Split cast iron housing
The housing is cast in upper and lower split structure with thickened wall and reinforcing ribs. It is easy to disassemble and inspect. The internal worm wheel, bearings and oil seals can be replaced separately without removing the whole gearbox from equipment.
Bidirectional universal installation layout
The input shaft and output shaft form a 90-degree right angle without fixed installation limit. It supports horizontal, vertical side-mounted and inverted installation. The input flange and output shaft can be arranged on left or right side as required.

Two-stage deceleration greatly amplifies torque and provides sufficient torsion at low speed. No extra secondary gearbox is required, delivering stable power without attenuation for small heavy-load low-speed machinery.
Reliable self-locking safety protection
Both stages of worm feature self-locking performance, which prevents reverse rotation of loads after shutdown. Lifting and turnover equipment can omit additional brakes to cut overall supporting costs.
Compact size for low-power precision drive
Lightweight and small body with tiny transmission backlash. It can be directly matched with servo motors and micro three-phase motors, ideal for automatic production lines and small precision conveying positioning equipment.

Q:How to choose between WPW two-stage and single-stage WP worm gearbox?
A: Choose single-stage WP if you need ratio below 60 and smaller size. Pick two-stage WPW for ratio 20–100 and high torque at low rotating speed.
Q: Can WPW gearbox run 24 hours non-stop continuously?
A: Standard model is only designed for intermittent duty cycle. 24-hour full-load continuous operation will cause rapid temperature rise and wear. For continuous use, select a larger frame size or install cooling fan.
Q: Can motors be mounted directly on WPW? Is an adapter plate needed?
A: Self-locking works for light-load static parking. For heavy load, frequent start-stop and impact working conditions, an electromagnetic brake must be equipped for safety.
