Upward output shaft with integrated flange input
WPDS is single-stage worm gear reducer of WP series. Letter S means vertical upward output shaft. The red-edge IEC standard motor flange on the left directly matches three-phase asynchronous and servo motors, delivering 90° right-angle transmission with ratios 10~60. Integrated base ensures stable horizontal floor mounting.
Thickened cast iron housing with integrated cooling ribs
The monoblock housing is cast of HT200 cast iron with dense strip cooling ribs on outer walls to enhance heat dissipation during long intermittent operation. High rigidity prevents housing deformation for conveyor and production line equipment.
Carburized steel worm & tin bronze worm wheel pair
The worm is carburized and quenched for high hardness, matched with wear-resistant tin bronze cast worm wheel for even meshing and small backlash. Designed for standard input speed 1500rpm, single-start worm provides built-in reverse self-locking performance.
Product advantages
Upward output fits overhead production lines
The upward-extended output shaft is ideal for belt conveyors, roller tables and small elevators. Motors are mounted on the lower side without occupying upper working space, realizing neat and compact equipment layout.
Low-noise operation with self-locking to simplify matching parts
Flexible meshing of bronze wheel greatly reduces vibration and running noise compared with hard-tooth gearboxes. Built-in self-locking locks loads to avoid reverse rotation after shutdown. Extra electromagnetic brakes can be omitted for light-load conveying machines to cut component costs.
Universal standard spare parts for low maintenance cost
Bearings, oil seals, worm and worm wheel are general industry standard parts. Inspection windows are reserved on housing side. Worn components can be replaced separately without removing the whole reducer, minimizing production line downtime.

Q: What housing temperature is normal during WPDS operation?
A: Under full load at ambient temperature, housing surface temperature below 85℃ is acceptable. Persistent temperature over 90℃ indicates overload, insufficient lubricant or poor heat dissipation, stop the machine for inspection.
Q: Can WPDS be matched with servo motors? Any notes?
A: It can be directly connected to servo motors with standard IEC flanges. If servo input speed exceeds 1500rpm, temperature will rise sharply, so install cooling fan and limit short-term peak load.
Q: What is the warranty period of WPDS? What damages are not covered by warranty?
A: Standard warranty lasts 12 months. Damages caused by man-made overload, operation without lubricant, unauthorized disassembly & modification, or use of non-specified worm gear oil are excluded from free warranty service.
