Product Characteristics
Die-cast Aluminum Alloy Housing
The whole unit is integrally die-cast with high-strength aluminum alloy, featuring compact lightweight structure and built-in cooling ribs. Anti-corrosion oxidation treatment prevents rust. Its weight is 30% lighter than cast iron reducers, perfectly fitting narrow installation space of assembly conveyors.
90° Right-angle Self-locking Transmission
Vertical 90° interlaced worm & worm wheel structure achieves large reduction ratio in single unit. It comes with physical self-locking function after power-off, which prevents conveyor sliding or slipping for lifting and inclined conveying equipment, saving vertical layout space.
Omni-directional Modular Mounting Structure
Standard mounting screw holes are reserved on six sides, supporting horizontal, vertical, side-mounted and overhead installation. Standard input flange with dual output shaft options (hollow/solid) allows direct connection with motors, drive drums and sprockets without extra adapters.
Product advantages
Smooth Low-noise Operation
Hardened worm teeth precisely mesh with tin bronze worm wheel with grade 6 machining accuracy. Vibration is minimized during operation, and no-load noise is controlled below 65dB. It can run continuously for long hours in noise-sensitive scenarios such as food packaging lines.
Excellent Heat Dissipation & Low Maintenance
Aluminum housing delivers much higher thermal conductivity than cast iron, avoiding overheating under continuous full load. Equipped with NOK oil seals and special high-viscosity gear oil for leak-proof sealing, frequent oil replacement maintenance is unnecessary under normal working conditions.
Wide Compatibility & Versatile Application
Reduction ratios range from 7.5 to 100, compatible with small-power motors from 0.09KW to 0.75KW. Full sets of accessories including torque arms, output flanges and couplings are available for direct assembly on belt conveyors, drive rollers and mini lifting platforms.

FAQ
Q:Can NMRV40 worm gearbox be directly fitted onto conveyor drive roller shaft?
A: Yes. NMRV40 is equipped with standard hollow output shaft. Install a torque arm to counter reverse torque, fasten flat key and set screws to connect light-duty roller shafts directly without extra couplings, simplifying head frame structure.
Q: Is slight heat generation during operation a malfunction?
A: Heat caused by inherent friction of worm drive is normal. Surface temperature between 40~70℃ under full load is acceptable. Temperature exceeding 85℃ usually results from improper oil volume or overloaded torque.
Q:Does the built-in self-locking function replace brakes for inclined conveyors?
A:Self-locking works well for light-load short conveyors with inclination below 15°. For heavy-load, steep-angle conveyors requiring long static parking, an electromagnetic brake is recommended to reduce wear of worm wheel teeth.
