Q: Can this B3 foot-mounted variator be installed vertically like B5 flange type?
A: Vertical mounting is not recommended. Its internal oil lubrication system is designed exclusively for horizontal layout. Vertical placement causes insufficient lubrication and oil leakage. Select MBL/UDL-B5 flange model for vertical applications.
Q:What is the lubricant replacement cycle for 24/7 continuous operation?
A: Check oil condition every 2000 working hours under full load; fully replace original special traction oil every 4000 hours. For light intermittent duty, the cycle can be extended to 6000 hours.
Q: What maximum short-time overload is allowed for B3 variator?
A:Short-term peak load shall not exceed 120% rated torque. Sustained overload will wear internal friction discs rapidly, resulting in speed slipping and insufficient output power.
