Electromagnetic induction drive
Torque is generated by induced current in the rotor from the stator rotating magnetic field. No brushes or commutators, ensuring simple and reliable structure.
Inherent slip
Rotor speed is always lower than stator magnetic field speed, with slip typically 2%–5%. Speed adjusts automatically with load changes.
Self-starting capability
Three-phase balanced windings create a rotating magnetic field without extra starting devices; it runs once powered on.

Simple and durable structure
Mainly composed of stator, rotor and bearings. Squirrel-cage rotor has no wearing parts, leading to low failure rate and long service life.
Stable and reliable operation
Balanced three-phase power delivers uniform torque with low vibration and noise. It supports long-term continuous operation and strong overload capacity.
Cost-effective and easy maintenance
Low manufacturing cost. Daily maintenance only requires checking bearing lubrication, with no frequent upkeep and low lifecycle cost.

Q: Why is it called "asynchronous"?
A: The rotor speed always lags behind the stator magnetic field speed, creating a speed difference (slip), hence "asynchronous".
Q: Can it start directly?
A: Small-power models can start directly; high-power ones use star-delta or soft starters to reduce inrush current.
Q: What do IP54/IP55 mean?
A: IP54 is dust-protected and splash-proof; IP55 is dust-protected and jet-proof. Higher numbers suit harsher environments.
