A brushed DC gear motor is an electric motor that combines a traditional brushed DC motor with an attached gearbox (reduction gear assembly). It uses carbon or graphite brushes pressing against the commutator to feed current into the armature coil. Mechanical commutation reverses current automatically to keep the rotor rotating. The gearbox connects directly to the motor shaft; it reduces RPM to deliver much higher torque. Applications: Robotics, automotive, home appliances, industrial & office equipment

Reliable intermittent cycle performance
The brushed dc gear motor is designed for intermittent cyclic operation and runs stably under on-off cycles with low risk of overheating.
Optional gear materials
Metal and plastic gear versions are available for the brushed dc gear motor to match different load and noise requirements.
Good coaxiality at output shaft
Precision assembly ensures good coaxiality of the brushed dc gear motor output shaft, reducing radial runout and transmission vibration.

Cost-effective for mass production
Brushed dc gear motor has lower cost than BLDC geared motors with widely available spare parts, great for mass consumer goods and compact automation equipment.
Easy wiring and commissioning
No hall sensor tuning needed. Rotation direction can be reversed just by swapping power polarity, saving time for prototyping and maintenance.
Rich specifications with custom options
Standard 6V/12V/24V models with various gear ratios are in stock. Custom shafts and mounting flanges are supported for brushed dc gear motor.

Q: Can the brushed dc gear motor work stably in low-temperature conditions?
A: Standard brushed dc gear motor works under normal low temperature. We offer versions with special grease for extreme low-temperature applications.
Q: Can this brushed dc gear motor be mounted horizontally or vertically?
A: Yes, the brushed dc gear motor supports multiple mounting positions. Please inform us for vertical heavy-load use so we can select proper gear lubrication.
Q: Where does the noise of brushed dc gear motor come from?
A: Noise mainly comes from brush friction and gear meshing. Quiet gear options are available for the brushed dc gear motor to cut operating noise.
